ARTIST BIO

Alisha Saucedo, owner of Rising Sol Ceramics LLC (Topeka, KS) is an artist, licensed social worker, Certified Sex Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Registered Play Therapist Supervisor. She has incorporated expressive arts in psychotherapy since she began her practice in 2009. In 2021, she found herself being called to ceramic arts, as a way to holistically care for herself. 

In the last 6 years, Alisha founded R.I.S.E. Assets, LLC and Rising Sol Ceramics, LLC, in Topeka, KS, and opened a space that houses both companies and encompasses all of her work. There she provides therapy services, breathwork classes, and hosts creative workshops taught by herself and others.

Alisha currently facilitates Artistic Expressions drop in classes for veterans, survivors, and first responders, through an ARPA grant provided by ArtsConnect and the City of Topeka. Through these classes, she utilizes creative activities to facilitate emotional expression and healing. Alisha participated in the 2023 Artist INC Cohort in Topeka Kansas. Since then, she has facilitated Artist INC and Artist INC Express on multiple occasions. She has affirmed that connecting to the community through healing and creative expression is her passion.
